    Air conditioner
I was recently given an air conditioner, which I gave to my son - it worked fine for a couple of weeks, but over the last week or so it's been squealing, turning it down or turning it to the fan stops the noise for a few minutes, but then it comes back - We tried to reposition it and make it more supported, but nothing's working - otherwise it works great - please help -
    Thanks!

Oil the motor if you can. Some fan motors are lubed for life but I fould that a little oil on the shaft near the motor does the trick to silence them down.

    Compressors do not usually squeal.
