    AC thermostat doesn't turn on AC
    MY Rheem AC is controlled by a Maple/Chase Saverstat thermostat for a 24VAC. I have checked it out as much as I know possible, fuse, batteries, reset button, main breaker on the AC and nothing seems to make the AC come on. The fan button turns on the fan. The samll screen on the thermostat seems to respond to all of muy input. I have tried it on both the manual and programmable settings but the AC still doesn't come on. I have cheked the temperature range setting and tried changing them. Nothing seems to work. Any other suggestions. If I choose to replace that thermostat, what would be a good replacement? I believe Maple/CHase is out of business.

    I think it is time to change the themostat. They now make ones you can set 7 days a week all different temps. Think of all the money you can save be having the air come on an hour before you get home.
