    Ac doesn't shut off when it reaches the programmed temperature
    My ac does not stop running even when it reaches the programmed temperature. I can't even physically turn the thermostat off. I am now throwing the breaker to stop it.

    Disconnect the red wire from the tstat,, if it keeps running perhaps you have a shorted wire between the tstat and the furnace
