With AC on blower fan runs then stops
My problem is that the air conditioning unit (Trane) runs fine however when the blower turns on it will run for 25-30 seconds and then turns off for 60-90 secords before turning on again. If I run the furnace the blower operates as expected. One service company has indicated that it sounds like a winding on the blower fan motor has gone bad causing this intermitten cycling to occur and suggest replacing the motor. Has anyone had a similar problem or heard of something like this that could confirm their findings or dispute them. Thank you for your help!

Check the capiciter,, they only cost a few dollars much less than buying a new motor,if the winding is bad in motor I don`t think it would run at all,not even a little bit.. if you don`t have the means to check capiciter take it to a electric shop and have it tested

If you run the furnace and the blower operates normally it is probably not the motor or capacitor But something in the A/C circuit. It could be the control board or your thermostst.

What is the model number and brand of your thermostat?
