    Will I get coverage?
I haven't had health insurance for 2 years now and had to go to the Doctor a few months ago because I was having issues with my menstrual cycle. End's up, I have fibroids that need to be removed. I just got married last month so now I will have insurance. Will I be able to get surgery to have the fibroids removed or will they say this was a pre existing condition?

It depends on the insurance. Call them and ask.

Well first yes it is a pre existing condition, so if you are buying private insurance no it would not be covered until that period expired.
But if you are going under group insurance at the place where your partner works, then many of their plans do not include a pre existing condition, or if they do, often it is 90 days or less.

So you will have to check with the HR department where he works to find out when you will be able to get the coverage and if there is a pre existing condition on that policy.
