    Dentist
All Kids is what I use for when I go to the doctor.
I got one of my teeth pulled out because according to the dentist it had to be removed.
Later on, I found out that he wasn't an actual dentist and therefore got fired and the apartment closed.
If there any places where they accept insurance ?
I live in Marengo, IL.. so anywhere close to here. Please.
My tooth will not be how it used to be if I don't get them.
I'm a freshman and don't like to smile because of that.

For those on AMHD who are not from Illinois, I can fill you in a little bit. AllKids is a state-funded health insurance plan in Illinois which insures all kids who are resident in the state who do not have private insurance. No child is uninsured in the State of Illinois.

The difficulty of the plan is that the State of Illinois is severely delinquent in paying their bills, and many providers will not accept the plan for that reason. It can take a year or longer for them to be paid for their services. There are, however, some dentists who will accept it, particularly newer dentists who are trying to build their practices and those dentists who are in their line of work in part because of a philosophy of helping and serving society.

There are two things I would recommend that you do. First, look at your card for All Kids. There should be a phone number on the back that you can call. Ask them for the names and phone numbers of participating dentists, which are dentists who participate in the All Kids insurance program and will accept it for payment. If that doesn't work, post on here again and I'll try to track it down for you - but please try first.

Also, since this fake dentist pulled your tooth, you should contact a personal injury attorney and tell them what happened to you. If the fake dentist has any money, an attorney might be willing to file a personal injury claim against them. Removing a tooth is a minor surgical procedure, and doing that without a license to practice is really a serious thing. You may be able to win some money from this jerk if he has any. Your parents or legal guardians would have to file suit on your behalf since you are a minor.

Given that you live in Marengo, you are probably going to have to drive a bit - you're kind of out in the country. I would guess you might find some places in Belvidere, Rockford, Elgin, maybe the Northwest suburbs like Schaumburg. Nevertheless, since the treatment will be free, it's well worth the drive even if you have to get a friend or relative to take you there.

Let us know if there's a phone numer on the card and if you're able to find out where some dentists are who provide service under your plan.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question.
I'll ask my mom tomorrow and then reply to let you know if it does or not. :)
