    WD my passport computer problems
    My passport can no longer be accessed via my computer as it could in the past. I can hear the equipment working and the LED light is on but the computer will not recognize it. In addition, when I go to shut down the computer, if my passport is connected, it will not shut down. It will not work on another laptop that I have either.

    I have a second passport which seems to work fine on both laptops.

    I am needing to at least get my information off the nonworking passport if I cannot get it to work again. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

    Portable drives fail and they fail a lot. Spinright is the best I have found at getting therm back up it is $89. It works. A portable drive dose not a backup make you should look at a cloud or NAS solution.
