My Question is : I have a 40gb hard drive. I have some music, and some pic's.
My hard drive has 13% free. I can't believe I 'm using 29gb for that.
How do I determine what to clean and how do I do it?

Well,
I'm going to assume that you are using XP even tho' you didn't mention.
(Most of these steps will work with any Operating System)

Here's some simple steps for you to take.
1/ Remove temp files and other rubbish form your system, either with inbuilt Disc Clean up or CCleaner.
(Disc clean up; open my computer > right click your C: drive > properties > Disc clean up button on general tab. Let it run and select everything)
2/ Defrag; open my computer > right click your C: drive > properties > Tools tab > Defragament now button.
3/ Error checking; open my computer > right click your C: drive > properties > Tools tab > Top button > check now. Check BOTH boxes, OK the error message and reboot.

In this case I would use both the inbuilt disc cleaner as it compacts older files as well as CCleaner.
Steps 2 & 3 are recommended to ensure drive health after cleaning.

Remove all Cookies would be good way to go, Also run a Disk Clean on the drive which would remove all temp internet files and other stuff.

Hi
I'm having a problem with my SATA Hard Drive. I want to connect it through USB, but It detect only that the USB cable is connected, but It doesn't appear/pick it up as a drive on "My Computer". What is the problem?

If your talking about a External outside hard drive that connects to a USB port there could be lots of problems.

One you don't have Windows Xp which has a Plug and Play/Use function which installs the right drives which then enable's you to use the drive.

Two if You have installed drivers for the USB external Outside hard drive For Other Operating Systems, But these drivers are not compatible with your model of external hard drive, this could lead to it not being able to use.

Three not installing drives for older Operating systems to run the External Hardrive.

Four not having the right Operation System to run the External Hard drive. Some External Hardrives need the Newer Operating Systems before they will work. Some of there External harddrives have drivers build in.

Five Using old and out of date drivers can cause the same problems of not being able to connect.

Six and last some Drivers are missing and or damaged for the old Operating systems which means the External Hard drive will not work
