    External hard drive
    Hi Guys I need your help I recently bought a 320 GB External hard drive, I plugged it into my computer and check the capacity of the hard drive it is telling me that the hard drive capacity is 298 GB, where is the other 22 GB gone? Looking forward for your reply

    Remember while it is advertised as 320Gb this means 320,000,000,000 bytes, which is really 298 GigaBytes. There are 1024 Bytes in an MB and 1024 MB is a GB.

    This is a marketing ploy that has been used for a long time and often complained about.
