    Hard disk problem
My computer has two hard drives, they are both detected and accessible via device manager but the second hard drive does not show up as a separate drive in my computer i.e.. As drive /:E so I can not load data on to it. How can I get to show as a separate drive.

    Hard Disk Problem
Obviously you have formated your new drive? With that out of the way,you have to designate one drive as the Master, and the other as the Slave. It's all to do with pin movement  Look at the back of your disk drive, and you'l see a little metal pin, located in a certain position.Your first drive setting will be master.Alter the second drive to slave.I will try and upload an attachment with instructions for you to follow.
    Best wishes,
    Nez :)

(postscript) Instead of me trying to zip a pdf file to send here, why not visit http://www.helpwithpcs.com/upgrading...hard-drive.htm and read basically the same info I would have posted here. And they have better graphics anyway :D

    Mozilla Firefox
I just starting mozilla and like it, but there is no export tab for bookmarks. How does one export--backup--your bookmarks? Also, when downloading the only option is to save to disk. Are the options available somewhere else in Mozilla? I am not sure I am posting this or replying. I'm new please forgive. In fact since I asking questions please tell me how one Post a new question.

First, to post a new message you need to navigate to the forum you would like to post your question in (e.g. Technology & The Web >> Comptuer Hardware in this case). Then above the table containing the current questions, on the left, is a button saying "New Question". Click this, fill out your question and hit OK/Send/Whatever it's called. That's your question asked.

Anyway, exporting bookmarks in Mozilla. With Mozilla open click on Bookmarks >> Manage Bookmarks. The Bookmark Manager will appear. From here you want File >> Export.

As for the options when downloading. You should have Save to disk & Open. Sometimes the open option isn't available. I believe it's because the is no program associated to open the file type.

Finally, is it possible for a mod to split this topic in two? We have two separate questions here. This one should really be in computer software. Cheers!

    Second Hard Drive
    Hi,

If you are using XP, have you check out the Computer Management section?

Go to start, control panel, administrative tools, then go into the computer management.

Under storage, click disk management. Is it showing up there? If not try clicking the action tab at the top, then click rescan drives.

    Just for information:
If you wish to add or subtract from an Experts' reputation, or show appreciation or discontent with an answer, click on the "balance scales" icon across from the Experts' name on the right hand side of the page. You can then choose what you wish.

    Best wishes,

    Fred,
May I ask if you looked at the date of the original question in this thread and at LT's answer?

If you had you might have noticed that the original question was posted over 2 months ago. The thread was only revived when another poster erroneously piggybacked their question on a different thread. And LT took care of that issue in his excellent answer.

May I respectfully suggest that you check the dates and read the threads carefully, before adding what may be unnecessary or wasted advice.

Dude, you seem to have issues. Why don't you guys resolve them offline. I'm getting kind of sick of seeing you track down Fred and post some from of disparaging comment every time. This forum is fun and friendly - please don't try to change that.

Of course I'm saying this "respectfully".
