    Fixable or Far Gone?
I had the serendipity to find a 30 gig iPod along a highway. Because it's worth a bit and my iPod was recently taken, I decided to see if I could get it running. Hey, who wouldn't? The outside is in great condition, save for a few scratches on the bottom. The problem I've been having isn't simple, though. It gives me a "Please wait, battery very low" while it's charging, though it is charged. It also restarts itself when I turn it on, and a few moments later, gives me a dead iPod icon. I forced it into disc mode several times, but every time I try to restore it, I get an error. Also, the computer doesn't register it's capacity, serial, and software number. It also shows a generic iPod picture, not the actual iPod. My real question here is, are there any tricks I can still throw at it, or should I just take it in and get it repaired? Keep in mind I did find it in a snowbank, and I left it on a counter for two days to give it a chance to recover. Can you help me?

    Thanks in advance. ^^
