I dyed my hair dark brown it came out black,I want to go brown can you please tell me what colour /stripper to put on me hair :p

Dye it a light color and then dye it brown a few days later.. it works:)

You have to use a color remover as trying to dye over the black simply won't work. Use one of the following: ColorFix, Color Zap, Color Oops, Color Charm Color Corrector, Igora Phantom or Igora Modulat. These are all sulfur-based color removers. Other color removers like Effasol are based on bleaches. They don't work all that well and they damage your hair like nothing you've ever seen. If you find another brand, look for prefixes like "thio" on the chemicals. "Thio" means sulfur. If you see chemicals that end in "Persulfate", stay away from that. Persulfate means bleach.

Once you've removed the color, you will have to re-dye it. I suggest that since your hair already "grabbed" the color it is probably pretty porous. Choose a level lighter than you think you want. Do a strand test to see how it will come out.
