    Hair clor
I have naturally the darkest brown hair closer to black, it is virgin hair it is making me look old. I colored it today using Wella Color Charm in Light Alburn using Ion developer 20, I left it in for 50 minutes. I love the color but it is not light enough, it looks dark with alburn hightlights. Should I re color it with the same color, if so how soon can I re color it? Seeing how it was very dark and virgin hair, my hair is very healthy, but I was lookiing OLD. Please help

Dark hair is not easy to lighten unless you bleach it. Auburn work best on light brown hair. I would go back to the store and look for a hair color that is especially for dark hair, I've tried it before (but I don't remember the brand) and it worked really well, I also have naturally dark hair. Please wait a while (I'd say a month) before recoloring your hair or your will damage it.

If you have naturally dark hair and want to go light auburn, it's best to pre-lighten your hair to a level that's lighter than the color you want and then apply the desired color. When your natural hair color is close to black, a permanent hair with a 20-volume peroxide developer will not make it light auburn. You will need to use a high lift color to achieve results. I recommend that you get your hair professionally done.
