    You find a grant appropriate to what you want to use the money for and then apply according to their application process.

    Hello She:

    There are grants to start businesses. But, contrary to popular belief, there aren't any grants out there that just help people out, if that's what you're looking for.

    So, if you PAY a site to apply for a grant, you'll lose what little money you DO have.
