I am 65 years old, and about to loose my job because my employer is relocating to MN. I have a lot of debt built up due to illnesses, auto and home appliance repairs and funding my children's collage education. I nearly lost my house to foreclosure and it took nearly all I had saved to prevent it from happening - my home is all I have. All my life it seems to have been one financial burden after another. Are there any grants offered that can help me through this troubling time?

I have no idea if there are any grants. I have never heard of any for anything other than facing a national crisis. You would think they would declare one after all the people struggling with foreclosure across the nation right now. There are actually companies that will work with you for free to buy your mortgage away from your mortgage company and avoid your foreclosure. I would advise looking into this first.
