    Why does it take the DMV to send a state ID to your house?
    When you mail something in the mail to me it only take about two days or one week to the person house.

    Your title and body seem to be different questions. The state DMV is responsible for sending out drivers licenses and personal IDs.

    Why it may take so long depends on workload and other factors.
