I'm trying to move and work in Lisbon, Portugal from the US? I am a born US Citizen
I need to know everything about moving to Lisbon, PT and working there and all the forms I need to start processing to become a citizen of Portugal. I was born in CA, US but my grandparents and ancestry stem from Portugal roots. Both grandparents were born in Portugal and my grandmother died a Portuguese citizen. I am trying to leave the US for personal reasons I don't care for this country anymore please let me know what I have to do and what restrictions I will have to go through? I have no felony convictions and I did serve in the US Navy. I am 23 years old and I don't believe in these american's roots so I will leave if possible. I just need to know what legality issues I may have to endure?

Don't leave the US. Portugal is the 50 times worse... poor, uneducated and bureacratic. Why don't you visit for a year and see for yourself.
