Although he was a good president in my views besides what he had done, I don't think he could ever be president ever again.

Probably slim to none in my opinion. He happily wrecked this country for 8 years. I don't think the American populace would give him another chance to do more damage.

Bill Clinton probably can never again be President unless the Constitution is amended. The 22nd amendment makes the Presidency a max of 2 terms. The 12th says that no one could become VP if they are "ineligible to the office of the presidency." The exact wording is no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States."
Although lawyers would probably battle that out in court ;it seems pretty clear the intent of the amendment was to limit terms.
The 22nd is also clear in that it limits the number of years a person can be President to 10 years. That was designed specifically for a VP ascendency to the Presidency + 2 four year terms.

Therefore ;although it is debatable ;I believe the intent of the 22nd was to restrict a President to two terms in office.

    Tom,
I agree. They could have said the vp had to meet the requirements for Pres.-period.
Instead, they searched and found the correct words to best describe their exact intention, in my opinion.
