    Adoption records
I have been in the process of searching my family heritage for quite sometime. While going through the censuses I came across my Great-Grandfather's name and beside his name it said that he was adopted in the 1880's in Georgia. How can I get the information from back then as I do not know of any other way.Any help would be appreciated.. Linda
