    Pressure cleaner
When I take my hand off the trigger it won't spray again. I have to hold the trigger down and start it up at the same time, Am I also losing some pressure by holding down the trigger and starting it? What do you think I can do to get it going the way its suppose to. Thanks

Did I finally stump you guys?
You guys have answered ALL my questions before but no one even touched this one. I don't even see it here anymore. OK may be I can explain it differently. I have a pressure cleaner that doesn't spray when I start it up. I have to hold the trigger in and at the same time pull the cord to start it. Then it works( but I feel like it was more powerful when it was working correctly). When it is working and I take my hand off the trigger for a second and it won't spray again even though the engine is still running. I have to go to the machine turn it off and hold the trigger down again and start it up. Do I have to tell you what this is like when your on a roof!!

    Bump.

Rocky, I merged the two posts and this "bump" will put it, with the new info, to the top of the new posts list. Wish I could help you, but it's got me stumped.

Hello, you can not start a gasoline pressure washer with the trigger gun not open, ( on the non commercial models) Yes you have to hold the trigger in, or buy a trigger gun that has a lock to lock it open, or a wire tie)
The water pressure is putting too much pressure on the motor and will not let you pull the cord ( bet it has jerked hard out of your hands)

So yep, you hold it open with one hand and pull with the other.

You have a "flow activated" regulator that is giving bad signals to the pump. The pump builds pressure when it recognizes flow, yours is not recognizing enough flow.. . Larger nozzles might work. The good news is under most situations you should not build pressure while pulling rope (unless regulator is bad) what some pople do (besides throwing off a roof) is remove the nozlle and run it then reinstall the nozzle this "tricks" the machine. You have a KARCHER or Devilbliss? Both companys know they have a problems with this and you should be able to get a Fix.
