    Planting a new lawn from scratch
    What do I need to start a new lawn . We have hard dirt in our yard. I 'm thinking, until it, put down some sifted top soil, ferterlizer, lime and grass seeds. I don't know what kind or how much. I'm talking about doing it right now region SE Virginia

    You've got the plan man, but to tell you how much you would need to know hoe big the yard.. get some, see how much the seed covers, and then estimate by the size of your yard... (its always good to get a little bit more than what you estimate)
