    Mint plant gone bad?
I bought a root bound Peppermint plant a month ago from a greenhouse and since then 1 small plant is now in 3 different pots going on 12! The problem is the plant is not 'minty' at all. It doesn't smell like mint and certainly does not taste like mint! I either picked up a wrongly tagged plant or something has gone horribly wrong. I live in north/west New Jersey near the river and have the plants in sun-in-the-morning/afternoon window. Could anyone help?

Can you take back the plant to where you originally bought it to find out what it is?

No, it was on sale because it was root bound.

There are many varieties of mint including ornamental only ones. Try mountainvalleygrowers.com/mint for pictures.
Mint grows like a weed. You could put one tiny plant in your yard and it will take over in one summer.
