Brown leaves on Snow crabapple tree
Our tree is about 4 years old, and this spring we have had a lot of high winds. The tree has brown dead leaves at the tips of the last year growth going down towards the truck. It has progress to about a foot of dead leaves, it that due to the winds or is it a Bug?
The new growth of this year does not seem to be effected. It has a lot of new growth on it, about 6-8 inches already.

Brown leaves show a dramatic change for the tree, at some point in time but from your description a recovery. Yes, probably recovering from the change in its atmosphere.
