It would help if you write down exactly how the riddle is written.

Is there more to the riddle? Does it say to reposition it in order to come up with an answer?

The J & K are on top positioned between the 10, Q & A which are on the bottom. They are playing cards but that isn't the answer. The Key is in the positioning.

When I finished university (8 hours after writing my last exam!) I hopped on a plane to backpack through Europe. Along the way we did a load of these types of riddles only to find out that they are called "lateral thinking riddles" Have fun! :)
