Hair on legs
Hello
I only shave the lower part of my legs, because I have fair hair on the upper part of leg.however, the older I get ,the more dark hairs seem to appear heare and there. When I get a tan the hairs will turn blond, but what will I do till then? Can I dye the hair on my legs without damaging the skin?what product should I use?I really want to avoid shaving it,because then it will grow back darker, for sure.
Thanks for the help!

Re: hair on legs
Although you can bleach the hairs with peroxide, it is not very beneficial to your skin.
If you have dark hair and are fair skinned, permanent hair removal with a special light may be an option for you. You can ask your dermatologist, but it can be expensive.

Sally hanson makes a bleaching cream for your hair and it won't hurt your skin if you use it correctly

Shaving is usually recommended when the unwanted hairs cover a large area, such as the legs. And we must use shaving lotion to reduce any irritation. I prefer using hair conditioners to shave my legs while I'm in the shower, it makes my legs feel silky soft.
Shaving does not cause the hair to grow thicker, stronger or darker, it's just a misconception. It only seems that way because the razor blunts the hair ends and makes them feel stiff.

I think grow it a little then wax it.
I have had that problem before that after shaving and after several days my legs feel rough and everything and yeah the hairs looks much darker and thicker so what I did is to wax it.
It will hurt wheny ou do it at once but when you do it always you'll get used to it. And after that I apply many moisturizers since sometimes I think, my legs get a little not so smooth with usual shaving because my skin gets razor burns sometimes.

Waxing removes hair by the root, it leaves your skin smooth and hair free for up to four weeks. The only thing is that it hurts like heck and you'll have to wait until the hairs get longer before you wax it again. Depilatories can damage sensitive skin. The harsh chemicals in them will give you a sore rash that you will never forget. Be careful not to leave the depilatory creams on too long. It's quick and easy to shave your legs, especially when you have a busy schedule and on the go. It's best to shave your legs while your in the shower because warm water softens the hair, opens the hair follicle and relaxes the skin. Wet hair reduces wear on the blade and stands up easier. You should use a product that's foamy or creamy. Or you may get razor burn (red raw skin, irritation, or bumps). Thicker is better protection for your skin. Use a lotion on the areas you've shaved. It will help reduce irritation, itching, and soften the skin.
