Adobe 8.1 missing ApproveIT key & Plugins
    HELP!

I can't completely open Adobe Reader 8.1. When I open a .pdf I get two msgs:

    1. ApproveIt keys not current
    2. Plug ins not found

I have uninstalled all older versions of Adobe Reader and reloaded 8.1

    Still no help.

    Any ideas!?

One tech suggested I reformat my disk and reload all used programs. I don't want to spend my entire weekend loading/unloading software.

    Thanks in advance...

Formatting and reloading everything is a way of saying "I do not know what the problem is". This should always be your last resort. Try a Google search instead. That is where I found the following information regarding your plug-in.

ApproveIt is not an Adobe solution and will not be installed with Adobe Reader. It is made by a company called Silanis. Look here for more details: E-Signature Solution - ApproveItĀ® Desktop & XHTML Server | Silanis

The latest version of Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and Adobe Media Player can be found here: Adobe - Adobe Reader Download - All versions
