    Libor Rates
I am looking on line to find the 5, 7 & 10 year Libor Rates. I keep finding the 1 year Libor rate. Does anyone have a link for what I am looking for?

    Thanks

Libor is actually a type of average, where the rates being averaged are those rates at which the international banks borrow and lend amongst themselves in the form of short-term interbank deposits. These averages are computed for maturities ranging from overnight to one year.

You'll sometimes see libor associated with maturities > 1 year, but it usually means one of two things: Libor is being used as the reference rate for the floating leg of a fixed / floating rate swap (with the fixed leg being expressed in terms of long-term rates); or libor is the reference rate for a long-maturity loan which "floats" or periodically resets to prevailing short-term rates.

These arrangements will frequently include both "libor" and "5-year" (for example) in their name or description, which could lead to the mistaken impression that there's actually some "5-year libor" rate.

    Hope that helps a bit.
