    How to calculate Dividend
    HAi
    I am new to share investment. I would like to know how to calculate dividend for 100 shares if it is 8%?

    If that is 8% of par, you would need to know the par value of the shares. If it is an 8% yield you would need to know the market price off the shares.

    The basic formula is (8%)*(Market Price or Par Value)= Dividend per share or
    (Number of Shares)*(8%)*(Market Price or Par Value)= Total Dividends
