    Dividends
    My company expects profits to be close to $,000,000. The Board of directors has instructed me to increase Retained Earnings by approximately $2,000,000 withut issuing or retiring stock. What Divident will I pay shareholders this year?

    I know this is homework because if you had really been instructed to increase retained earnings by $2 million dollars, you wouldn't be on here asking. You also may want to provide the info you left out.
