Is there any educational funding for 36 year old who is in debt and broke
I'm a 36 year old commercial fisherman that moved from the shores of Alaska where I worked and lived since the age of nineteen to the hot dry dessert in Arizona. Obviously no commercial fishing related work here and truth is I physically can not do that work anymore and being at sea for months at a time ruined my relationship with my wife. In a nut shell I'm in Arizona to be close to my three and a half year old and hopefully my wife not ex wife. I am looking for financial aid to use for educational purposes. I do not need to spend twenty thousand dollars on associates degree I'm am looking for financial help for wide range of courses in the web development and design field. Some of theses courses are certifications some are just software training and with this under my belt I will have a new career that started as hobby. So any idea where I could look? I have bad credit and relatively good chunk of debt on top of it all.

Check with the state department of employment, or your church - maybe the Salvation Army or Goodwill.. But, I don't think so.

We broke up a year ago [ 19 Answers ]

I'll try to sum this up as easily as I can. Dated for two years. Talked of marriage, shopped for homes together etc. The normal stuff a serious couple does in their mid-twenties. I was pretty immature at the time in some ways though. As excited as I was to marry her, I also didn't want to...

He had the best year with me but he broke up with me? [ 2 Answers ]

My boyfriend of almost 1 year broke up with me last year. He said that it just won't work out in the future. What makes it harder for me is that he keeps saying that "I was the best girlfriend he's ever had" and "he's had the best year with me". I don't understand why he broke up with me when he...
