    Willful or voluntary underemployment
While going through a divorce,I was attending college. The state of Georgia was paying for my classes, books and daycare. The judge place me under a 604.00 child support order even though I was currently without income.I'm trying to understand willful or voluntary underemployment as it relates to my case.I was under the impression since I was in school attempting to increase the level of my support for my daughter in the future an order should not have been placed on me.I'm perplexed and 8000.00 in the arrears?

Were you married when the child was born? Some courts look unfavorably upon men who father children and don't want to support them. GA is very tough on unwed fathers.
