    Supervised visitation because
Me and my husband have full custody of his daughter Age 8. we have had her for almost three years now with her mother in and out of rehab never clean for longer than 6 months. We are now going to a 5 hour hearing as the mother has come back after 2 years of not seeing the child and 1 year of not talking to her and wants to have unsupervised access. The judge we saw in Case confrence said that as her mother she deserves to see her child. Which yes is true but basically I'm wondering if anyone out there thinks that asking for one year clean and then starting at a place like elizabeth fry for supervised access is unreasonible. Her lawyer seems to think so also she does not want to pay for this. She does not pay child support either any suggestions will help.. as we can't afford a lawyer

Paying child support and having visitation are two separate issues. Is there any order that she pay support and she does not?

Yes, she should see her child. You have to prove she is a danger to the child if the visits are unsupervised.

The only one who knows how a Judge will decide - is the Judge.

As far as what is reasonable and what is not - it depends on many, many circumstances.

I don't know "she does not want to pay for this" means. Elizabeth Fry (whatever that is) charges to supervise visitation?

I don't think you can keep the mother from the child for a year to prove she is or isn't clean. I think supervised visitation is in line. If it is ordered and she can't/won't pay, then she won't see the child.
