    Adopting my wife's son
    My do not know who her sons biological father is so I have taken on that responsibility as his father. How do I adopt him?

    Get a family lawyer.

    A good faith search must be made for anyone who MAY be the son's biological father. Then relinquishment/adoption papers need to be filed and processed through the courts.

    A lawyer would be able to walk you through it.
