Right to consent will of deceased parent in Texas?
My dad, who left in 1978 leaving 5 "blood" children behind, recently passed. He never paid child support, he adopted his now wife son and he reamed all the benefits. He was a disabled vet and had property/business/vehichle/money in his mother-in-laws name as to where nothing could be traced to him in order for child support to be inforced and also not to mess with his disablity check. I feel that we are owed for the emotional stress we sustained. We weren't even notified of his death because his wife "didnt want us to know so we wouldnt try to get anything" they lived life of luxury when we fought to survive day to day. He probably had a will which wouldn't even mention his true children. Is there anything that can be done?
