Revoking temporary custody
Asked Jul 10, 2008, 07:30 PM
My daughter was divorced in Georgia, and moved to Missouri. She has custody of her two children. In April, 2008, her third child died at only 4 months old. At first they thought he would be hospitalized for a long time, so she gave temporary custody to the other grandparents here in Georgia.
They agreed that they would come home (Missouri) in August. Now the grandparents that have temporary custody are saying they are not letting them go back.
What are her options? Does the original custody agreement take precedence over the temporary? What does she need to do?
