I have a 4 year old daughter. My ex is not on her birth certificate and never has been. He has been inquiring about getting parental rights. Do I have to comply and can he do that?

No. There is no custody order. No support order. Never had a DNA test done.

You do not have to comply without a court order. But if you are sure he is the father then it may be a good idea for you to comply. If he goes to court and paternity is established, the court is likely to be more generous then you may allow. Plus the court will look at attempts to keep the child from its father unfavorably.
