In NY State, does a child receive support after age 18 if not in school?
I have conflicting information. My son is 18, just graduated high school, and is NOT going to college. However, he still lives with me and is seeking employment. The divorce decree does not specifically stipulate an age that support will end.
However, some lawyers say that New York is one of four states where child support continues till age 21. Does anyone really know the answer to this?
