    How does Virginia DCSE determine gross income when someone is self employed
    THe question has to do with the calculation of child support payments when the non-custodial parent is self-employed and self reports what his or her gross income is without any independent verification.

    They usually go by tax returns. That way there is a legal document to back up what the person is saying.
