How do I get custody of my grandson?
My daughter left her son with me over a month ago, claiming she couldn't take care of him. She then moved in with her boyfriend, and is seen in the bars frequently. She watches him sometimes while I work, but always calls right away for me to come and get him afterward. She has not given me any money to help support him and I have been working only part time. My job is ending in 3 days and I told her she would have to take him and support him now. She refused and dropped him off and left. What do I do now?

Call social services near you and ask them what the next step is. As of right now you have no rights to the child so you really can't do anything without the mother. To gain guardianship you might have to turn her in as unfit.

Then apply for custody / guardianship of the child so you can also get benefits to help you out.
