How to change my son last name to my merried name?
when I had my son the nurse ask me the name of the father, so my son has his last name but on the birth certificate the name of the father does not appear...

I will really love to have some advice on this subject since I want my son to have the same lastname as his little sister... I live on goose creek, South Carolina and my son was born in el paso, tx

What do I need to do to change his last name. Somethig else my husband works on the navy I don't know if that would help at all...

    Thanks

You will need to petition the courts for the name change. If the father can not be found then you must prove by extrodinary means that you performed a diligent search.. then you will have to post in legal notices in local papers. After the search has been exhausted then you can go back to the courts and ask for the change and show the courts evidence that the legal father could not be found.

Did you get a judgement for child support already and for custody ?
