Hi,

Am Vijith P A from Kerala; I have one doubt regarding my surname change.
In my all certificates (Birth Certificate,Driving Licence,all education certificates,Identity Card,PAN CARD) given Vijith P A as my name ; In that none of the certificate mention my name initial Expansion(P A) execpt Passport .
In my passport document my first name Vijith surname as "Paaaaa Abbbbbb"

Actually Paaaaa Abbbbbb is my father House name; now we are not living that house as well as they sell that house (done the partition).

Now am planning to change the name initial expansion Pxxxxxx Ayyyyyy
(because my father name is Pxxxxx and Mother name is Ayyyyy)

This matter I talk to Kerala Printing Department ; they told we can change only name not surname..

Please give me the suggestion , what I can do regarding this?

Far as I remember, therez an affidavit to be filled and signed by a lawyer to change your name in your passport. Give it a try,, buy a passport application/check online,, it'l give you all the details you need...
