Okay so here's the deal. I live with my mum, younger brother and older sister with an avo on my dad. Home isn't the best. My mum works long hours and I hardly see her and when I do there's always fights and yelling. My siblings and I are always in fights and I never have the time to do my school work. No one except me does anything in the house as in cleaning etc. I can't do this any longer. I self harm, and have some type of mental disorder. I haven't been diagnosed but I know I have something like depression. I don't have any type of bond with any of my family and I'm always stuck at home wanting to kill myself. I have tried 2 times this year but my best friend has talked me out of it. The only person I talk to about any of this is my best friend and her mum. My question is would I be able to legally move out of home to live with my best friend and her family without my mums permission? I am 15 and live in NSW Australia. I just can't handle living here anymore.

No, you can't move without permission. You need to speak to someone at school, an advisor, a counsellor, explain the situation and ask that person to intervene.

What has the mother of your best friend done? Talked to your mother? Talked to a mental health counsellor, the school? She's a responsible adult. She can step in.
