She gets more and more depressed every day and just wants out where they can't control her like they are. I am forbidden to talk to her see her and she is not even aloud outside of the house. She only gets 2 phone calls a week for 10 min. each. This time has to cover her mother and her 3 siblings. She as studyed for her ged but they purposely waited on the paperwork so she could not get her ged before the baby is born. She is due in February and has no way out me and her want to get married and I was wondering what would have to be done to get us two married or her amancipated. I have a place in my home for her and the baby and she even has more say in what happens to my room in painting and what kind of furniture goes into it. But I would just like to know what kind of loop holes I would have to jump throug too get us married or get her amancipated. Any help whould be greatly apreicated and if you would like to talk to me on the phone just say so and give me a number and time to get ahold of you. Thank you for any help or information:(

I'm 18 and my girlfriend is 16 the baby was conceived when I was 17 and she was 15 so they couldn't get statatory rap on me which is very good because I do believe if this is truly love he was made of the love we had for one another.

How old is your girlfriend? Usually, when a girl becomes a mother, she is automatically emancipated which would release dhs from continuing to have custody of her. You may need to talk with a lawyer to be sure and find out what rights you and she have.

Sorry if I havee confused you but she is 16 now and apparently dhs has to have profe that she can support her self and the baby with housing and all the bills that some one whould face if living on their own. If you know of any thing about being able to get her amancipated on my behalfe then please let me know. I really have to get her out for her mental health and phsical health she is really in need. Every day I hear her cry because of the isolation and it hurts to know I can't do something that is why I sought help on the issue but thanks for all your help let me know if you know anything else thank you

I want to say you are doing a right thing sticking up for her and sticking with her, too many young men don't, which is why we have as many relationshiop questions here as we do.

Keep doing all you can, it is hard, I don't have a good legal answer, beyond getting an attorney for you and her, DHS has many rules, and often government people that only care about the dotting of "I" and the such.

Good luck and just do the most and best you can.
