    Considering temporary guardianship for son
I have a 14 year-old son. I was in a relationship for 12 years (non married) with non biological father. This man was the 'father figure' in child's life. We have recently parted ways. I live in GA with my son he(non biological father) remains in VA. It has become apparent that my child's outbursts, attitude, lack of respect towards me, authority and family members that I am considering letting my child go temporarily to live in VA but am not sure legally if I can do this? Any advice ?

The problem is not letting him live in VA, but that the "father figure" has no legal right to care for him. You will need to get him temporary guardianship. I'd consult a Family Law attorney on how to do that.
