19 year old moving out in NY State
Hi I'm 19yrs old living in NY State and I currently live with my father who has full custody of me. My mom pays child support because I am a full time student in college and only work part time. I am considering getting an apartment with a few friends(girls) for my sophomore year of college, would my mom still have to pay child support until I am 21 years old? Or does she stop paying because I don't live at home anymore? Let me know someone, Thanks!

If you no longer live with your father he would no longer be owed support. Provided your mother goes to court with proof of you being independent to have the order modified.

In order to be responsible for chlid support after 18, the child must live at home with the custodial parent and attend school. Though I won't say full time or part time in school because I'm not sure.
