As Judy pointed out, there are loads of talented singers out there most of whom never achieve fame, but do make a living out of singing. I just returned from a cruise. There were a troupe of entertainers who did the shows. There were four singers in the troupe (2 male, 2 female). They were all very good. But they are unlikely to achieve fame. Yet they make a good living. There are several venues like that. Theme parks have shows, cruise ships, local theaters, local clubs. These and more are places that singers can work and make a living without achieving fame.
So you practice, take lessons, hone your skills and hope for a break that may never come. In the meantime you work at your craft wherever and whenever you can.
I'll also point out that we had a Karaoke contest the last night, two of the contestants were excellent singers. But neither was able to make a career of singing. I'm not trying to discourage, you should do whatever you can. But you need to be aware that your dreams of fame are a long shot.
