    Strange Neighbor Behavior
Was having shower remodeled. Neighbor asked me two months prior if she could have the shower doors for her bath. I said "Sure". Later... the shower co. called one week before the job and I told them my neighbor would like the old doors. They replied "that usually the door frames are bent during removal and they did not think they could be re-installed anywhere". ON THAT, I placed a call to the neighbor to tell her that. Her home phone had voice mail and I left that message. After 5 days when she had not called me back... I placed a call to her cell phone which had a recording on it and left the same message. On the day of the installation she had not called me back. I tried a last time on her cell phone and she had "TAKEN OFF HER VOICE MAIL MESSAGE AND IT JUST RANG AND RANG". This neighbor in the past has gotten annoyed when I was discarding something from my apt. and did not offer it to her. I don't know why. Any thoughts on this. Years ago this person was friendly to me but in recent years acted "distant" most times and seems more so each year. Any thoughts on this?

She is who she is, and since this is not the first time she acted weird with you, chalk it up as she IS weird, and don't dwell too much on the why of it. You did your due diligence, the best you could, so let her keep being her weird, annoying self.

Maybe you should have given her the junk, and let her worry about it being useful or not.

You over thought all this and engaged in too much contact. Just leave a note on the whole door saying that the frames couldn't be saved intact. If she's annoyed about any freebie she misses, so be it.

Hum, neighbor, and you call and call, what ever happened to walking over to their house and talking to them. All the time, I actually walk over and talk to my neighbors.

And again, you are way to worried about old doors, if you left a message, then most likely they got it.
