Hi Nushreen! Welcome to AMHD! :)

I've never done such a thing, but why not compress the file, attach it to your message and send it? Or, perhaps upload it on the net, on rapidshare for example and give the link for downloading to your friend.

EDIT: Sorry, after reading Scottgem's response, I feel a little ashamed :o. And sorry Clough if there were punctuation mistakes...

Greetings and WELCOME to the site, Nushreen!

I just edited a bit and moved your question that you had posted in Introductions to this forum topic area so that it will get the most exposure to those who are best able to answer it. Introductions is for people to introduce themselves and we try to not ask questions there.

I do note, that you already did get a helpful response while your question was in Introductions.

It can be a little confusing when first learning how to use this site! Your question will get noticed much more in this forum topic area.

We would appreciate it if you would return to Introductions sometime to tell us a little about yourself though, if you would be willing to do that.

Concerning your question - what format is the song presently in, please?

    Thanks!

The problem here is that what you are doing is probably illegal. If you bought the CD, you can gift him the CD. But you can't gift him a copy of the song. That violates the copyright.

It helps to pay attention to instructions. You clearly ignored the instructions by originally posting this in the Introductions forum.

Just attach the song file to the email like you would a word document or a picture. Your email provider should allow it just fine. I know hotmail allows it because I've sent and received songs that way. Hope it helped.
