    Need wirig instuctions on a hot tub, main panel to box
    I bought a used hot tub and need the wiring procedure, from the main panel to the gfci box near the hot tub

    Marty, there is a site for electrical and you will attract some of the electricians there but not here. We'll move you and I bet you get some great directions.

    WHat is your level of electrical expertise? Have you done any electrical work in your home?

    A spa wired from scratch is something ONLY a well seasoned DIYer or pro should even consider attempting. There is too much at stake. This is NOT a job to learn as you go.

    I agree, not a job for someone who has not worked with 240 v. To answer your question try this Wiring a Hot Tub - Electrical Installation and Wiring Diagrams Depending on your tubs requirements you'll likely need a 50 amp GFCI. Check at Home Depot and Lowe's, I think Square D makes a kit just for a spa.
