    Why would a light fixture flicker on to off and then stay off ?
    My dining room light flickers on and off but remains to turn back on what's wrong with the light?

    Could be a loose wire but probably a bad wall switch. Is it on a dimmer?

    Perhaps you mean "refuses to turn back on"?
